‘Big Brother Canada 2’ debate: Looking at future All-Star candidates
At about this time every season on “Big Brother” (regardless of whether we’re looking at the US or Canadian editions), we like to ask one important question: Who could come back for more? It’s hard sometimes to put yourselves into the shoes of casting, but there are characters every season that stand out more than others.
With “Big Brother Canada 2,” we were blessed mostly with a strong cast of personalities and players, and that gives us many possibilities for returning players depending on the sort of season that is being devised.
Strong possibilities
Jon Pardy – The easy comparison here strategically here popularity-wise is Jeff Schroeder, since he’s very much the sort of Canadian guy you consider to be one of your pals. Heck, we actually think he’s way more likable than Jeff, who gets awful smug sometimes when he’s in power (in addition to some other misgivings).
Neda Kalantar – So far, she is the best pure player on either season of “Big Brother Canada,” and unless something goes terribly wrong for her at final three, she should be $100,000 richer later this week.
Arlie Shaban – The show loves Arlie, man fans love Arlie, and Arlie loves the experience. Plus, you know he is going to want to prove that he is a better player than the first member of the jury.
Adel Elseri – Entertaining diary rooms, hilarious strategic moves (even if not all of them were good moves), and a propensity to cause conflict are all reasons why Adel will be asked back. There hasn’t been another player like him on the show.
Possible candidates
Sabrina Abbate – You may hate Sabrina, but at least she’s getting a strong emotion out of you. Her frequent clueless and challenge ineptitude works against her, though.
Ika Wong – She went home pretty early, but Ika was a huge personality who competed hard, and was super-entertaining most of the time. The good thing about her destroying the letters was that it gave her the air time needed to come back.
Kenny Brain – Were Kenny in any other position, including the First Five and being victimized by Canada, he probably would have gone much further in the game. He had many of the pieces necessary.
Andrew Gordon – The game needs villains, and Andrew’s a big one. He also was evicted thanks to Canada, and that alone does make us curious how well he would have done if there was no twist thrown in here that ruined his game.
Nate Sandri or Scott Bosse – Given that they never had a real opportunity to play the game, it wouldn’t shock us if they were brought back for something in the future.
Little to no chance
Anick Gervais – She’ll have to inject her positive energy and auras elsewhere.
Kyle Shore – He seems like a nice, fun-loving guy, but two weeks in the house does nto an All-Star make.
Paul Jackson – Paul was entertaining, but even if he did come back, we feel like he’d be evicted again one of the first few weeks. Paul just can’t help himself.
Sarah Miller – “Mumsie” was very nice and probably was screwed more by the twist than anyone, since we feel she could have easily won the game. She’s just not a big enough character.
Rachelle Diamond – When peeing in the hot tub is your most notable accomplishment, your reality TV future is not looking up.
Allison White – Canada’s vote-in player did some interesting things, but by and large was a letdown when it comes to being behind big moves.
Heather Decksheimer – Heather hasn’t really done anything since the week she was Head of Household. Heck, even that week she did mostly what others wanted her to do.

Seeing Gary play again would be totally amazing. Also, more Neda! She was my pick to win since the beginning.
