‘The Amazing Race 24’ episode 10 review: Did the Afghanimals make the right decision?
Tonight, “The Amazing Race 24” took off to Spain, and with that we had one of the crazier legs of the season. First of all, kudos to the show for actually having a difficult Detour for a change, plus a U-Turn and plenty of street navigation for teams to better control their own fate. While there was an equalizer, that was also good in that it didn’t completely punish teams in the lead.
The biggest decision of the entire episode is the one by Leo & Jamal to take out the Cowboys rather than Brendon & Rachel at the U-Turn, and it was to us the right one. Yes, there’s that terrible Accidental Alliance governing everything and they somehow broke a “promise,” but it’s the right game move. Both teams are strong, but the Cowboys have been consistently better most of the season, and they thought that another team would probably U-Turn the “Big Brother” stars anyway. One other thing that cannot be ignored here? That there was an injury to Jamal, and he had to think about people he would not be able to outrun in the future.
Of course, Dave & Connor were first again, once again showing that most of Dave’s complaints about being an old man really don’t hold any water at all. He’s better than everyone! He even survived that hilarious / awesome “running with the bulls” detour that pummeled all the teams.
In the end, though, the elimination tonight was one that was extremely predictable. The Cowboys were of course in last place, and also complained and acted all smug that someone actually played the game and got rid of them. The funny thing, though, is that the elimination is still the cowboys’ own fault. They stumbled with directions all over the leg, and they also made a decision to U-Turn Brendon & Rachel. Had they not gotten lost and U-Turned the country singers before they got to the board (these singers are still in the race somehow), this would not have happened. Grade: B.

Congratulations on writing a terrible article. You should review the real housewives of orange county or a show of that category. You are pathetic.
