‘Call the Midwife’ season 3, episode 7 preview (PBS): Jessica Raine and looking ahead

Obviously, we will start off this new “Call the Midwife” article with a warning: If you haven’t seen the episode that aired on Sunday night yet, stop reading now. The last thing we want to do is spoil this for you!

Next week, you better get ready for more Jessica Raine! After two weeks of the character mostly away, Jenny Lee will be back on the show, and you will see a little bit more of what happens to her next. She can settle back into her life of Nonnatus House, but there are still going to be questions and struggles coming up. You have to be prepared for all of that!

As for some other characters, you will continue to see the continuation of the Trixie character’s story. She has become one of the most likable and confident people on the show, and that is going to continue as she starts to think more and more about her romantic future.

Finally, the story regarding Shelagh and Dr. Turner’s “adoption plans” is going to continue to pick up steam. In this episode you will learn more about the good and the bad when it comes to this story. You will have reasons to be excited, but also reasons to be worried. Nothing ever comes easy for the characters on this show, and this upcoming episode is only going to further along this theme. Be on the lookout for that! We are getting near the end of this season, though, which means that there will be some resolution coming around the bend soon enough.
