‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Talking Laurel and a new ‘Streets of Fire’ photo
A fair warning for those of you who want to remain unspoiled: There’s some serious “Arrow” speculation coming up based on one of the first new photos from Wednesday’s “Streets of Fire.” We’re not posting it at the top of the article for those of you who want it to remain unspoiled. (This photo was already released by The CW.)
In this particular image, you can see none other than Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) showing that she at least knows how to hold and potentially fire Oliver Queen’s famous bow as the battle for Starling City between the good guys and Slade Wilson’s army begins.
So do we really buy that Laurel is going to be able to do any damage at all with this thing? Maybe she gets lucky and fires off one arrow that actually manages to hit its target. So long as she doesn’t pick it up and start to have some sort of amazing accuracy, we’re going to be okay with the twist. At least Laurel is getting some exciting stuff to do now, which suggests to us that if something ever does happen to Sara, there is the potential here for her to take on the role of Black Canary someday.
But, we cannot see that happening this season. There is too much else to currently attend to. This story sets up the finale “The Unthinkable,” and over the course of these hours you are going to see the return of many familiar faces. Obviously, the most-notable one is Malcolm Merlyn, who is going to come face to face with Thea for the first time since she learned the truth.

While no one is expecting to strap on the fishnets, I don’t think it’s totally unreasonable for her to continue her mental shift to someone who is prepared to fight for what she believes in and loves. I really can’t see Sara surviving the finale, as Slade would look weak if her didn’t show some major threat, for me Moira is not enough. So I expect to see Laurel slowly transitioning into the Black Canary, especially with some training from someone like Wildcat. It’s gonna happen, you wait and see.

If your last name is Lance, you are magical and can do anything.
