‘The Blacklist’ episode 20 preview: ‘The Kingmaker’ story for Megan Boone, James Spader

Monday night’s new episode of “The Blacklist” will yet again be a big hour of television, in particular if you are looking for a story that may have surprising ties back to what is going on with Liz Keen and her husband Tom.

After all, it’s possible that “The Kingmaker,” otherwise known as the Blacklister of the week, may have something to do with orchestrating how Tom ended up with Liz in the first place. He is a master strategist who can arrange futures for many that he takes under his wing, including telling them the right schools to attend or people marry in order to rise to power. Know that it’s certainly possible that he has nothing to do with Tom and is a stereotypical “villain of the week” for James Spader and Megan Boone’s characters, but still, that would be quite a coincidence. Given that we only have three episodes left before this story is at an end, the show needs to do almost everything that it can to sell answers to the viewers … even if they don’t tell us the entire blueprint, we do at least know a few things to understand better what is going on.

One other issue at hand here is whether or not Red has been telling the complete truth to Liz about who he is, and what he wants with her. Tom insisted that he is one of the good guys, and we’ll have to find out some more information about that, as well, before we are truly satisfied.
