‘Better Call Saul’ spoilers: Bob Odenkirk waiting to read scripts
The road for “Better Call Saul” seems to be taking forever. Maybe it’s just because we’ve known about the idea for a while, or maybe it’s just because we loved “Breaking Bad” so much that it gears us up even more for what could be coming with its spin-off. Either way, it is fair to say that there is anticipation for this show, and plenty of it.
What we do know at least for now, though, is that we are getting closer to the show actually moving forward and getting on the air. The writing process is happening, and in a matter of months, shooting may finally begin! However, none of this actually means that Bob Odenkirk has actually been made aware of what is going on. He gave a conference call to reporters earlier this week promoting the new (and excellent) “Fargo” series on FX, and in it he made it clear just how in the dark he is about the series for the time being:
“I haven’t read anything for Better Call Saul. [But,] the vibe I’ve gotten is that the show is going to be very intense.”
Odenkirk has also said in a variety of other interviews that he expects most of the chemistry to still be intact, and for the show to continue to feel very much like “Breaking Bad.” After all, why work had to change something that a variety of people all loved so much in the first place? If you have something that works, stick with it!
