ABC’s ‘Revenge’ season 3 spoilers: Big things for Emily VanCamp, Madeleine Stowe in finale

At its core, “Revenge” is really about the battle between Emily Thorne and the Grayson family. So when you strip away a good bit of that other stuff, what do you think you are left with? Great conflict between Emily and Victoria that will be the center of the season finale.

For those of you who have been waiting for everything to come to a head with these characters, here’s a reminder that it will. As a matter of fact, showrunner Sunil Nayar gave the following tease to TVLine that already has us leaning forward in our chair:

“Emily and Victoria have scenes in the finale that are going to blow the audiences’ minds… and the performances that Emily [VanCamp] and Madeleine [Stowe] put into this are so good.”

We know what we would like to see in the finale spoilers aside, and that is for the door to be finally blown open when it comes to the Emily Thorne secret. It’s been long enough that she has hidden in anonymity. It’s time for the doors to be blown open a little bit, and for us to see whether or not something insane happens as a result of that. It would certainly raise the stakes, and while we want to see Emily succeed in the end, we also need to see her desperate. This would definitely allow that and then some, and that is good for all viewers at home to experience. Hooray for tension!
