‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: More on Chris Colfer-written ‘Old Dog, New Tricks’
As you may have heard recently, “Glee” season 5 features an episode written by Chris Colfer entitled “Old Dog, New Tracks,” and after a little bit of waiting, we’re now here with some of the glorious first details from this hour.
As you would expect, Colfer’s character of Kurt does have a role to play in this episode, but we’re not looking at a situation here where Kurt’s ego got the best of him to the point where the entire episode is about him and nothing else. As a matter of fact, we actually feel like the part of the synopsis below that focuses on him is more of the self-deprecating variety:
“In an episode written by series star Chris Colfer, Rachel attempts to salvage her reputation among Broadway gossipers, by hiring Santana as her publicist and creating a charity for rescue animals. Meanwhile, Kurt (Colfer) nabs the lead role in a retirement home production of ‘Peter Pan.'”
The “Peter Pan” part of this story does to us sound pretty hilarious, and we’re very interested in seeing where that goes for Kurt and if he views a retirement home production as something that he could be proud of. As for Rachel and Santana working together again? Let’s hope that this is as funny as it seems, and won’t lead to more fighting for the characters themselves. (For the record, we are somewhat surprised that neither Lea Michele nor Naya Rivera has gone out of their way to deny the rumors that surfaced in the press last week.)
There is one more episode beyond this one worth looking forward to, and we’re going to have more details on that big finale tomorrow. Stay tuned! Also, click here to get a musical preview of Tuesday’s “Glee,” and sign up now for further updates from our CarterMatt Newsletter.
