‘Psych’ series finale spoilers: What does the synopsis for ‘The Break-Up’ tease?

Psych -Is the “Psych” series finale going to really provide you with everything that you are hoping for? After reading it, we are actually left with more questions and answers over whether or not the series really got the time it so deserved to wrap up this crazy, madcap show in the way that it should.

The biggest reason to have hope is that this episode, entitled “The Break-Up,” is written and directed by series creator Steve Franks. Also, it seems to really get almost everyone involved in the show, since all the regulars are involved, including our beloved favorites who headed north a little earlier in the season. (Hooray for Juliet!)

The part of this that has us a little bit apprehensive on the surface? That there isn’t really much about the mystery of this episode itself on paper that seems to stand out at all:

“Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dulé Hill) help Detective Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) enlist the help of Henry (Corbin Bernsen) and Woody (recurring guest star Kurt Fuller) to solve the murder of a real estate executive. Meanwhile, Shawn struggles with a life decision.”

There is going to be at least more time to presumably warp the story up, given that this episode is technically running until 10:07 p.m. Eastern rather than just the typical hour. Also be aware that there is an aftershow coming on minutes later, which will feature Franks and the entire cast members reflecting on their own experiences on the show.

Speaking of reflection, we are still getting set our own articles looking back at the show’s history, including some of our favorite cases that we’ve seen Shawn and Gus solve. (Here’s a hint: Many of them involve Shawn going undercover somewhere.)
