‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5, episode 16 preview: Watch a Kat Graham peek

“The Vampire Diaries” has introduced all sorts of new characters and stories this season in an effort to freshen things up in a post-Originals world, and while not all of them have worked, there have been quite a few things that have.

One thing that we have definitely appreciated? Getting an opportunity to see more and more of Kat Graham’s character of Bonnie Bennett take on a role of educator. It’s a different part for her than what she has played in the past, but she is hardly the sort of teacher one would expect … mostly because she hardly has ordinary students.

Instead, we have people like Liv, who Bonnie has to spend more of her time putting in her place. Liv enters the sneak peek below for Thursday night’s “While You Were Sleeping” looking all pompous and arrogant, and it was not that long after that when she as quickly showed up. Bonnie told her to craft what is a simple fire spell, and then she wasn’t quite able to do it. Embarrassing, no?

While Bonnie is working with Liv, there are still many crazy things happening around her. Damon has to come to terms with the fact that Katherine is now gone, and that Elena wasn’t really guilty of much of what he thought. Meanwhile, you have Caroline / Tyler awkwardness continuing, and the possibility of more new characters showing up.
