NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, and Battle Rounds

The Voice -Starting up on Monday night, “The Voice” is going to air its first of the battle rounds, and all weekend long, we are going to be giving our best effort to try and tease everything that is coming up in the coming weeks.

Today, we’re focusing on team Blake Shelton, and what he brings to the table this time around. First of all, he brings with him a legion of good singers who smartly chose him in the blind auditions. It’s easy to figure out why he routinely gets one of the best teams, mostly because he brings so much to the table as a mentor. He’s got a huge following, great connections, and will be there for you long after the show is over. Just look at how Gwen Sebastian has toured with him and how he has surprised Cassadee Pope at one of her concerns.

However, there is also a disadvantage to working within Blake’s team, and that comes in the form of having to deal with so many other good talents. While you may get help in the voting department when it comes to the live shows, you may struggle more in the journey there thanks to the quality around you. It’s harder to advance on his team, and at least you can take a little comfort in knowing that there are some steals out there.

So who is advising Team Blake? It’s none other than The Band Perry, who bring multiple voices and personalities to the mix. They are also extremely current, and that should help quite a bit to keep the show “hip.”
