‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Summer Glau returns … but why?

Have you missed seeing Summer Glau aboard “Arrow“? We certainly understand, and it is for that reason that we are happy to confirm that she is coming back soon. How soon? Think along the lines of “Deathstroke,” the new episode that will be following up next week’s “Suicide Squad” and then “Birds of Prey.”

As you would expect with a name like this, Slade Wilson has a substantial role to play here as more and more of his intentions are revealed. Could that somehow involve Glau’s Isabel Rochev? You have to believe so, at least based on the full synopsis below:

“Slade (Manu Bennett) makes his move against Oliver (Stephen Amell) and the repercussions are enormous. While Oliver scrambles to protect his family, a key player in his team starts to question Oliver’s decisions. Meanwhile, Isabel (guest star Summer Glau) makes her move to take Queen Consolidated away from Oliver.”

There is still one other complication to Rochev’s appearance that does have to be remembered: The fact that the last time we saw the character, she slept with Oliver while the two were in Russia together. In a season that has had so many amazing moments, this remains one of the few things that makes little to no sense to us. Why in the world would you present us with that? The only real explanation we got for it last time was that Oliver did not want to sleep with anyone he really cared about … but now Sara is back and they are together.
