‘The X Factor’ UK: Cheryl Cole to officially join Simon Cowell on season 11
There’s no more waiting in order to find out whether or not Cheryl Cole is going to be back on “The X Factor” with Simon Cowell: The big news is finally official. In a statement on Twitter today, the music mogul finally confirmed that both he and Cheryl will each be a part of the show moving forward, which has been the subject of rumors and conversation for some time.
So why come back now? The simple answer to that is that it is a mutually beneficial move. Cole’s music career fares better when she has this outlet for promotion, and she is beloved throughout much of the UK … perhaps even more so after coming off sympathetic after Simon and the producers of the American show fired her after just a few days filming auditions.
As for who the other two judges on the show moving forward are going to be, you may as well pencil in Louis Walsh first and foremost. He is the veteran of the panel, and despite acting at first like season 10 was his last, he softened his stance on that over the course of production. A reunion of season 7 is going to be impossible seemingly, given that Dannii Minogue has expressed no interest in being back this year; however, former “Xtra Factor” host Olly Murs has been rumored for some time to take the final spot, and would bring a sense of fun to the panel. Also, this would satisfy the rumors that Cole was not particularly interested in being on the panel with another woman, and then seeing her be painted with some sort of “catfight” brush.
