‘Big Brother Canada 2’ review: Did Arlie, Heather improve their stock?
For many of you who watch “Big Brother Canada 2” knowing in advance what happened on the live feed, you watch mostly for one purpose: Getting to see some explanation as to what people are really thinking. These confessionals are so valuable to getting a sense as to where people’s games are at.
So why in the world did we have about a million Heather confessionals? Is this suddenly the Heather show? That plus her voice (which flutters around between being high-pitched and normal) are grating, and she’s not really playing the game with Andrew and Rachelle that she thinks.
We do wish we got more insight into some of the alliances tonight, but it was interesting to see a pair of things that always make for good “Big Brother” entertainment.
1. The Head of Household Competition, mostly because we find joy in seeing Paul dressed up as a giant chicken while Arlie claims once again that he is the greatest competitor ever. Arlie somehow probably did still improve his status to us here somewhat, mostly because he understands how to play hard and weak at the same time. That’s not easy.
2. Meanwhile, we had more reminders that Paul is a horrific player, and we don’t know how he is trying to spin any master plans at all by flip-flopping around and calling Andrew a “racist” for no good reason. Really, to do that after the season in the U.S. this past summer is a pretty awful thing to do since that stuff stays with you. Who in their right mind would ever hire this guy to motivate them?
As for the #FinalHG candidates, the one disappointment here is that seeing them takes time away from strategy talk. But, we were reassured here mightily that Allison is the one who should be voted on. We’ve already seen a Scott character on the show so many times before, and at least she brings something different to the table. Grade: B-.
