‘King of the Nerds’ season 2 finale rankings: Will Jack, Kayla, Brian or Xander be the king?
This has been a very short, but incredibly entertaining journey when it comes to “King of the Nerds” season 2. The cast brought their nerd cred to a pretty difficult game and now we are looking at our final four with one of them being crowned on the finale this Thursday.
So who do we think is going to win the season? Our prediction is based on edit, competition play, strategy and how each nerd has fared since being on their own. (Update: Be sure to click here to see our full review of the finale!)
4. Brian Davidson (last week 4): Brian is in the final four and while we think that there were way stronger competitors that should’ve been here over him (Chris or Zack for instance), it’s not surprising to see him in this position. Brian has been part of a dominate team where he didn’t have to lead or be a target, so he could float under the radar. He has been to a Nerd-Off and took out a big player in Chris, but when the teams were dismantled last week, Brian really struggled.
3. Xander Jeanneret (last week 5): We were initially worried about Xander when it came to the “every nerd for themselves” model, but he showed everyone that he doesn’t need a team to win. That being said though, Kayla and Jack are just such huge players in this game that we have a hard time seeing Xander get himself into the final 2.
2. Kayla LaFrance (last week 2): Kayla has been an incredibly smart player this season. Not only has she proven herself to be a team player on a dominate team, but she’s shown that she doesn’t even need a team to dominate challenges (she slaughtered the guys in go-karting last week). Kayla has also played a very slick strategic game and has never seen herself in a Nerd Off… this is not an easy task. We see her easily making the top two, but last week she said that she was worried that Jack was going to be her biggest competitor, so she may have trouble taking the crown from Jack.
1. Jack Hou (last week 1): We would be equally thrilled to see Jack sitting atop the throne of games. He started off on a terrible team that imploded under the pressure from the purple team all season, but he’s won two Nerd Offs as well as a Nerd War, shown us just how strong he is when the purple team tried to push him around and is overall the real deal when it comes to being a nerd. He is our pick to win the whole show and we think it will be well earned no matter how the winner is chosen this year.
