‘How I Met Your Mother’ series finale: More on Cobie Smulders, Josh Radnor, cast
The “How I Met Your Mother” journey is officially over … at least for the actors who have filmed the show.
Yesterday, we brought you some of the farewell messages from a few of the cast members, along with the news that Josh Radnor was likely the last person to wrap things up. Now, we know this to be confirmed. The last scene for the show appropriately featured Ted Mosby front and center, and that may be enough to make you tear up and reminisce on its own.
Well, if it doesn’t completely, we have a few other things to share here that definitely will. The attached messages on Twitter come to us courtesy of co-creators, Carter Bays and Craig Thomas on Twitter, along with a bonus message from Cobie Smulders at the time that we wrote an article yesterday on the subject.
Bays, on Radnor – “A big hand for @JoshRadnor, a kind, brilliant and supremely talented fellow. Thank you, Josh. And more please. Godspeed, Ted.”
Bays, on Cristin Milioti – “And cheers to Cristin Milioti, who showed up 8 years in and knocked us all on our ass with her talent & charm. Godspeed, Name TBD.”
Thomas, on Radnor – “Thanks to @JoshRadnor for his absolute wonderfulness — we wrapped #HIMYM on a lovely scene with him.”
Smulders, on the overall experience – “That’s a wrap! I feel so grateful to the men and women who made our set a wonderful place to go each day. Thank you.”
The “more please” in Bays’ tweet about Radnor is likely a nod to “Happythankyoumoreplease,” which is the first major movie that Radnor directed.
A new episode of “How I Met Your Mother” entitled “Vesuvius” airs on Monday, and you can click here to watch a preview for that. The finale is called “Last Forever,” and is going to be on the air on March 31. Therefore, you literally have the rest of the month to watch new episodes and enjoy before the show comes to a close. While we know that there is a wedding between Barney and Robin, just about everything else is still up in the air.
