‘The Originals’ spoilers: Joseph Morgan on Klaus’ potential romance

Is love in the air on “The Originals“? Hardly, and in the wake of what happened between Klaus and Caroline on “The Vampire Diaries” recently, it doesn’t appear like it will be happening anytime soon. That means tough luck for you Klaroline shippers, or for those who have been rooting for him to get there with Cami (pictured). This is a guy who has been around, after all, for centuries upon centuries, and you do have to figure that if he really wanted to have someone in his life to love, he would have probably made some sort of effort to find them and be with them by now.

Speaking to E! News, it was Joseph Morgan himself who somewhat-squashed rumors of a Klaus romance in the immediate future with the following comment:

“I feel like he is and sort of always has been a loner … That doesn’t mean there won’t be liaisons with other characters, you know, he’s not a hermit, but he finds it very difficult to relate to people.” 

Sources say that there could at least be a temporary love interest for him in the future, but we know already that there is a difference between this and a romance that is going to last for a long time. Maybe someday Klaus could have that; we’re not giving up on him. It’s just going to take quite a bit of time, and also some personal growth on his end.
