‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: More on Nationals, NeNe Leakes, and other guests

Given that “Glee” is actually filmed in Los Angeles, didn’t it make sense for the show to actually have an episode at some point that took place in the city? We certainly think so.

This is what brings us to “City of Angels,” which is the new episode that follows “Trio” a week from Tuesday. This will be an episode that is all about the cast (or at least the ones in Lima) heading to California in hopes of taking home the trophy for the second straight year.  The official synopsis from Fox doesn’t really make that much of an effort to tip its cap one way or the other if they bring home a win:

“The members of New Directions travel to sunny Los Angeles to compete in Nationals, and bring with them two very special guests.”

There are going to be a few cool guest stars who appear over the course of this episode, and they include the return of Mike O’Malley (Burt) as well as NeNe Leakes (Coach Roz Washington). Skylar Astin of “Pitch Perfect” is also going to be joining the fray as the lead singer of a rival club, while Marlee Matlin will be one of the many people in position to be a judge. In this episodes, where so much is the same year after year, we really appreciate the judges much more than ever before.
