‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Who is Oliver shocked to see in ‘The Promise’?
Tonight marks the return of “Arrow” to The CW after a brief hiatus, but while you are sitting back and watching “Time of Death,” “The Promise” is really one that you have to look forward to as a game-changer. This episode, airing next week, is set to reveal something that we know you’ve been excited to see for some time: The idea of Oliver actually confronting a ghost from his past.
We’ll go ahead and warn you now that there are some spoilers on the way, so if you want to keep yourself from having the entire story ruined, then you better stop reading now.
This will be first time that Oliver realizes that not only is Slade Wilson alive in the present-day, but he is actually in Starling City and spending time with his family. These photos also let us know that Manu Bennett is not apparently as tall as we think that he is, and that Oliver Queen has quite a bit of skill in the world of photo-bombing.
So why is Slade spending time with Moira and Thea? He knows that Oliver is the Arrow, and this is likely his form of emotional manipulation. He may come to them claiming to be a friend or a campaign donor, and really have something else up his sleeve. But, why now? Why start to stir up drama after you have been in the shadows, and content to let Brother Blood be the face of the operation? That is something that we are still interested in finding out.
