‘Big Brother Canada 2’ cast: First impressions; plus, a mystery houseguest

Big Brother -Big Brother Canada 2” unveiled their cast for the new season today, and you’ve got what on the surface feels like a pretty fun bunch. Then, you also have one houseguest who you have not had a chance to meet at all. This person will be revealed until the premiere night on Wednesday, March 5 (which will air on Slice along with Global in an effort to get more viewers to check it out).

So who is this person? The best way to think about this is that it seems very unlikely that Slice would delay showing off who their fifteenth houseguest unless it is someone that viewers may already be familiar with. After all what kind of big reveal is it going to be if the last houseguest is “Bob from Newfoundland!”. Seeing possibly a season 1 houseguest in the mix could change things up, or some sort of Canadian semi-celebrity who could be some source of instant drama.

Without further ado, let’s go ahead and at least bring you the names of the other 14 people competing to follow in the footsteps of so many “Big Brother” greats These descriptions come courtesy of Slice’s press release today.

Adel Elseri: self-proclaimed spoiled brat from Alberta with a penchant for drama-inducing dilemmas.

Andrew Gordon: charming, tri-lingual, Montréal-born macho man with a travel bug as big as he is.

Anick Gervais: small-town Ontario gal who meditates and wants to inspire the world with her spirituality.

Arlie Shaban: salesman and über-fan from the Greater Toronto Area who has mastered the art of strategy.

Heather Decksheimer: promotional model from Edmonton who is as bubbly as she is blonde.

Ika Wong: Jamaica-born bombshell running her own business and living in Thornhill with her two children.

Jon Pardy: goofy Newfoundlander and minor league hockey player who is always the life of the “pardy.

Kenny Brain: handsome East Coaster and all-around athlete with a competitive streak.

Kyle Shore: self-assured Nova Scotian with big biceps and an ego to match.

Neda Kalantar: fashion stylist from BC ready to storm the house with her no-holds-barred attitude.

Paul Jackson: loving father, loyal husband, and motivational speaker living in Toronto.

Rachelle Diamond: healthy and fit girl-next-door from Alberta earning a degree in psychology.

Sabrina Abbate: lively Italian from Montréal who’s not afraid to push boundaries and buttons.

Sarah Miller: mortgage broker and mother of two living in BC with a personality as sweet as it is spicy.

A couple superficial things about this group:

1. Paul is by far the oldest houseguest at 43, while Rachelle at 20 is actually not old enough to compete on the American version of the show.

2. Still, we sadly have no houseguests from the Northwest Territories (though we would assume that’d be near-impossible to find).

3. Quebec is much more represented than it was during season 1.

4. Ironically, this is the second Andrew Gordon in “Big Brother” history. The other one you probably know a little better as “Captain Kosher” from season 12. Hopefully, this Andrew does better in the game.
