‘The Originals’ episode 14 preview: Claire Holt’s Rebekah and substantial torment
There are moments during Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Originals” that are going to take you back to the past, where Rebekah has many memories of the city of New Orleans. The time period is 1919, the time of a great epidemic, and she was helping to contribute to the cause … at least in theory. It’s always possible that there are ulterior motives lying all over the place here.
But what is really interesting about the sneak peek for this episode, entitled “Long Way Back from Hell,” is that it is very unclear just what exactly is going on. The scene is intentionally hazy, and flashes back and forth between what seem to be two separate time periods.
There is still one likely culprit at the center of all of this: Genevieve, who was around back in 1919 and shares quite a few memories with Claire Holt’s character … with many of them probably being of the “not good” variety. She wants some sort of revenge, and will do almost anything possible to make sure that she gets it.
Both Rebekah and Klaus are going to be in some sort of ire straits throughout this episode, and it is going to be up to one person to try to save them: Elijah. We know that this is a guy with heroic tendencies, but he is also a conflicted one. How he continues to manage the relationships between his siblings and also the werewolf pack / Hayley remains to be seen.
