‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 video: See Kit Harrington answer ‘questions’ on ‘Jimmy Kimmel’

Kit Harrington has been on a little bit of a publicity trail this week in order to promote his role in the new movie “Pompeii,” and thanks to that, there has of course been an inevitable amount of buzz and conversation about his role in HBO’s “Game of Thrones.” After all, it’s inevitable when you think about this. This is one of the most-popular series on TV, and you of course have to imagine that Harrington is going to be peppered with questions on it almost anywhere that he goes.

The video that we have for you below from “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this past week seems to be very much a take on that very thing, as Jimmy hired some people in costumes to have some sort of fake fight about the show.

In the end, this was a giant miss. Kimmel’s come up with some great stuff lately (see the wolf prank), but the problem with this is that he tried too much to please everyone. It was not referential enough to the show to make us believe that the characters were real fans, and it was too referential for the people who don’t watch “Game of Thrones” to understand. Kit mostly just stood there wondering what to do (not his fault at all) while this entire bit came to a thud.

We still decided to enclose it below for your possible enjoyment, and think of this as a remainder that like “Saturday Night Live,” late-night shows are imperfect. They’ll hopefully take from this and come up with something better next time. After all, Jimmy is a big “Game of Thrones” fan.
