MTV’s ‘Awkward’ season 4 spoilers: Check out the first two episode titles

The latest -Are you excited to see “Awkward” return to the air? We know that you are going to be waiting for a heck of a long time, given that Tuesday, April 15 is not anywhere close to now; but, we have a feeling it will be worth it, given that we are being handed another 20-episode season that will chronicle quite possibly the end of Jenna Hamilton’s days in high school, and also give us the latest developments in her personal life (along with those of her friends).

So what specifically do new showrunners Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler have in store for us? We’ve got for you below the first two titles of the season, along with at least a small bit of analysis as we work to decipher their meaning.

4×01, “No Woman Is an Island” – The first thing to point out is that this is going to be an hour-long premiere whether or not that constitutes both this episode and 4×02, however, is unclear. This title reminds us a lot of “I Am a Rock,” the classic song from Simon & Garfunkel, but we interpret this more in the context of the show as being about no one being alone. That is an emotion that Jenna has felt many times before.

4×02, “Listen to This!” – We dig the exclamation point here, mostly because that suggests that there is something that absolutely has to be listened to at all costs … which could be a demand from a significant other, or an order from a teacher. Given that we are moving into another part of the characters’ lives, we do hope that is something that shows a little growth and maturnity.

We’ve already reported that one interesting story for the new season is a college search, and also the news that Jenna’s mom is going to start taking classes. We’ll have more as the news breaks.
