‘Elementary’ season 2 spoilers: Prepare for more Lestrade
The start of 2014 may as well have been the year of Sherlock Holmes for many of you. Not only did you have the premiere of “Sherlock” season 4 in the United Kingdom, but there was also the opportunity for you to catch some new episodes of “Elementary” season 2 here stateside. That was a joyous period of time, indeed, but unfortunately, that period of time has come somewhat to a close. “Sherlock” is over until who-knows-when, and it will be a while longer until “Elementary” is back on the air this month.
So for now, we present to you a teaser about what Lestrade will be doing upon his return to the show a little alter this season. Just take a look at the quote from executive producer Rob Doherty (via TV Guide) below:
“Sherlock will realize that in the wake of everything that happened in London in the season premiere, Lestrade has wended his way to New York. To Sherlock’s surprise, he’s doing a little bit better than Holmes may have anticipated.”
Lestrade is one of the major characters coming back this spring, as you can also be sure to expect quite a bit more good stuff from Mycroft, as well. These two characters should at least in theory help to make up for the absence of Moriarty, who is not going to be surfacing again this season.
What do you think about the idea of more Lestrade, and is there anything in particular you want on season 2 the rest of the way? Share all of your thoughts below! Also, visit the link here in the event that you want some more news about what could happen to “Elementary” in the fall if there is no spot for it on Thursday nights. (Remember: There is going to be at least a brief little NFL takeover that happens.)
