‘NCIS’ season 11 spoilers: Upcoming episode titles and coincidences galore

More news -Ready for some fun with upcoming “NCIS” episode titles? There are two interesting ways in which to go about talking about the show in this story: Discussing what the titles could mean in the context of this show, and also talking other shows in the past year that have also shared this same episode title. That’s the interesting thing here: Save for the upcoming “Bulletproof” (which is the 15th installment this season, and will air on February 25), every episode announced in March so far shares its title with another network show.

Without further ado, let’s jump right in here.

Episode 11×16, “Dressed to Kill” – This is an episode title that clearly suggests a heavy fashion component, in particular that someone with a fashion background could be responsible for inflicting a ton of damage. Given that there are a couple of characters on the show in need of a makeover, this could be fun if it plays out like it does in our brain. Comparison: “Castle” also aired an episode recently entitled “Dressed to Kill” earlier this year, which heavily involved fashion.

Episode 11×17, “Rock and a Hard Place” – The obvious connotation here is being trapped in a bad situation where every option is bad. Also, there is probably no easy way to come out of this a winner. Comparison: “Supernatural” had an episode with this title in the fall.

Episode 11×18, “Crescent City” – This one’s easy to figure out: This is a part of the “NCIS: New Orleans” crossover event, which will take over two episodes of this current season. Crescent City is a nickname for New Orleans, as is the Big Easy. Comparison: “The Originals,” another show set in New Orleans, also used this title earlier this year.

The real moral of this story is that when you have 250 episodes, it’s hard to come up with new titles that are either not already used.
