‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 19 video: Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, and darkness

Are things about to get completely crazy on “Pretty Little Liars“? Based on the sneak peek below from Tuesday night’s “Shadow Play,” it certainly seems like we could be getting a chance now to watch some of the most horrifying moments that we have seen on the show to date.

So what is the subject of this particular scene? Think of it along the lines of a pretty tense back-and-forth between Aria and Ezra, where she is keenly very much aware now of his dark side, but he is not so willing to either pay any attention to it, or is clueless that she is thinking in such a way.

In watching this big scene, the one thing that we continually find ourselves coming back here to time and time again is why in the world he didn’t imagine that there would not be any sort of endgame for some of his actions, or consequences. There was only going to be so long that he would be able to keep this a secret before some of the layers starting to unfold, and we are definitely now getting into a position where they are.

Given that the episode after this one is entitled “Free Fall,” you have a pretty good idea as to where this is heading for Aria. If she thought she knew pain before, things are only going to get worse from here on out.
