‘Two and a Half Men’ season 11 spoilers: Meet Alan’s new love interest

It begins -Two and a Half Men” Thursday night was not a particularly happy one for the Alan Harper character. After all, the man found out at the tail end of the episode that he actually ended up accidentally helping his “friend” Larry propose to Lyndsey. He had just lost out in the race for her heart, and that leaves him seemingly alone and on the prowl again for someone else.

So who is his next big love interest going to be? Think along the lines of someone who has worked with Courtney Thorne-Smith before on “According to Jim” (and ironically who also has a hyphenated name): Kimberly Williams-Paisley. According to Deadline, the actress is going to play the part of Larry’s sister, who Alan has a shot with at some point this season.

What do we take from this casting? The big thing is that despite getting engaged, Lyndsey still has a part of play on the show moving forward, and this story is probably not over yet. The biggest reason why this romance in particular is not going to work is because according to Larry, Alan is “Jeff Strongman,” the sort of unbelievable / terrible ruse that no real show would ever be able to get away with in a million years. Who knows? Maybe she will be the one to finally see through just what he is up to and point out the myriad of lies that he is laying on pretty thick.

Just how big of a past do Thorne-Smith and Williams-Paisley have together? Just look at it this way: The two appeared in more than 150 episodes together.
