‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 13 preview: Series boss on Sara’s return, Nyssa al Ghul

More news -Wednesday night’s “Arrow” episode is entitled “Heir to the Demon,” and it may as well be titled “That One Story About the Lance Family.” Not only is Sara back in the present day in order to potentially save Laurel from herself, but we are also getting set to see flashbacks of the entire family for the first time to see what they were like before that boat trip that changed everything.

In the video below, show executive producer Andrew Kreisberg teases a little of how these flashbacks in particular are a departure for the series, and how it is going to help to show more and more how the entire Lance clan came to be the way that they are. Quentin, for example, was a happy and confident dad in the past; meanwhile, in the present he is broken, cynical, and quick to become angry. So much has changed with him, and Oliver Queen is the significant reason why.

Also in this preview, you have an opportunity to get to know Nyssa al Ghul, who is the most high-ranking of anyone within the League of Assassins that we have met yet. Now that the original plan to take back Sara did not work, we are going to see a much more formidable opponent in Starling City to retrieve her … or to kill her, if things do not go as planned. This is something that could become a major problem for both Oliver and Sara, since it is a distraction from what is happening with Sebastian Blood … who they have assumed is okay now and not the man in the mask.

Personally, we’d love to see flashbacks of Sara actually at the League, given that you know at some point that she and Oliver have to go their separate ways on the island in order for that to really happen.
