‘Hart of Dixie’ season 3, episode 12 review: What happened with Lavon and AnnaBeth?
“Hart of Dixie” had itself a good time on Monday with “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” at least if you like the random Joel / Wade bromance. While we understand those who don’t want Joel with Zoe, we’ll also say this: That moment with Joel punching someone in the face was priceless.
Then, things got a little bit dramatic when it comes to one of the show’s relationship. Annabeth and Lavon are potentially no more, and it all seems to be the fault of the latter more so than the former. She was convinced that she had found the love of her life with him, and was ready to make that big commitment within the first month that they were together. He couldn’t say that, and thanks to this difference of opinion, they are no more (at least seemingly).
We are admittedly really sad about this, mostly because we actually liked the idea of the two of them together. They have a good rapport, and we hope that this is one of those “let’s create some temporary drama” sort of situations that we tend to see a few times here and there on shows like this.
It’s hard to really focus much on the rest of the episode, since not that much happened save for George moving on very quickly from Lynly … and that was annoying. Do the writers really not know what to do with this guy at this point? That’s the downer in what was otherwise a solid hour. Grade: B.
