‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: More Wayne Brady, Ellen D. Williams ahead

Fans of “How I Met Your Mother,” it may be that time: The wedding of Barney and Robin is actually being filmed!

Just in case you were concerned at all that some of your favorite guest stars were not going to be back around thanks to everything else going on, here’s proof that you don’t have anything to worry about, at least when it comes to some of them. Wayne Brady posted this image on Twitter Sunday of himself, Ellen D. Williams (Patrice), and also Ben Vareen (playing his father / the minister of the ceremony).

Here is one thing that we are very curious about when it comes to this story: Is it possible that Patrice could actually be a bridesmaid? If we could get a “shut up Patrice” moment at some point during the ceremony, it could end up being the best thing ever. (Robin also may be in need of bridesmaids, since she otherwise has just Lily. Female friends are not exactly her thing.)

Of course, we more than expect Brady’s James to have an active role in the wedding, just like he has been pretty active most of the season so far despite going through a divorce. This has been a pretty hectic past few months for Wayne as it is. Not only is the guy filming this as well as his full-time job over on “Let’s Make a Deal,” but he has also done new episodes of “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” that are premiering on The CW later this year.

Tonight, “How I Met Your Mother” airs the new episode “Sunrise,” which we suppose is really the first episode to take place the actual morning of the big wedding. We are getting near the finish line now, and it won’t be long until the final moments of the series are being shot.
