‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 13 preview: Take a look back at the Lance family
While the Lance family may now be completely torn-apart, there was at least a time when on the surface, most of these people were at least happy and getting along together. That is something that we are looking forward to seeing on next week’s “Arrow” season 2 episode, which carries with it the title of “Heir to the Demon.”
Based on the sneak peek below, a flashback during this episode is going to take us to a time when Laurel was still getting ready for law school, Dinah was still around and Quentin actually looked happy for most of the time. This entire scene feels almost straight out of an American sitcom; heck, the only thing that seems to be missing is the cheesy laugh track at every turn. It’s just so bright and sunny!
The only thing that comes in and starts to mess things up a little bit? Oliver Queen and Sara Lance doing a little bit of flirting on the side … and this also may be the biggest problem we have with this entire scene. Given that it’s been around six years since Oliver left on that infamous boat now, and this scene took place at least a decent amount of time before then, did text messages really look that cool back then? Maybe we’re speaking as a late adopted of the technology, but when we started texting in 2008, it did not look anywhere near that advanced and was a heck of a lot more work.
