‘Game of Thrones’ season 4 video: Emilie Clarke, cast talk preview special
How about a preview for a preview special? Ridiculous as that may seem, it is precisely what HBO is handing you now for their upcoming “Game of Thrones: Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing”
In case you have not heard the news yet, this 15-minute special is going to air on HBO on February 9 at 8:45 p.m. Eastern time, which is 15 minutes before the airing of an all-new “True Detective.” That means that you will have an opportunity to get a little taste of the story ahead, but not run the risk of actually feeling overly spoiled.
In addition to serving as a recap-of-sorts of the first three seasons, there will be new footage shown in the special, and also some interviews with the cast as they detail some of the dozen or so reasons why this new edition is going to shake up the series. Among the actors featured in this clip are Emilia Clarke (Daenerys), Peter Dinklage (Tyrison), Maisie Williams (Arya), and Kit Harrington (Jon Snow). All for of these characters will have a huge role in the story, as we left many of these characters is interesting positions last season.
Early indications are that season 4 is going to be the most violent edition of the show to date, and it makes sense when you consider just how much ground that the writers have to cover now. Not only is there still the battle that wages over the throne (and Daenerys has quite the army behind her), but you have the threat of White Walkers out there. There are also a few other developments here that are very important, but we don’t want to ruin the surprise of them just yet.
