‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 17 video: What is next for Mona, Aria?

Is “Pretty Little Liars” starting to ask some difficult questions of its main characters again? We are starting to think so, and for one major reason: This show has always been about objectivity in a way. Since we see the entire show from the perspective of Hanna, Aria, Spencer, and Emily, we tend to be naturally biased towards them as the ones who bring us the story. However, at the same time none of these women are saints, and they have their own share of victims.

Is Mona one of them? That is just one of many questions that we have after watching the new sneak peek below for “Bite Your Tongue,” the episode of the show that is going to air on ABC Family Tuesday night. This entire sneak peek is based mostly around Janel Parrish’s character complaining to Aria that after what happened last year with the attempts to find “Red Coat,” she was suddenly froze out of the group again and ignored. That means that she is no longer an asset, and no longer trusted or relied on. Therefore, Mona has moved on to some new friends, and is even getting some help from the new guidance counselor.

Does Mona have every right in the world to feel upset and offended? You better believe that she does, since she feels like she is owed. But, at the same time it is pretty darn easy to sympathize with everyone else. When you remember everything that Mona has put them through over the years, there is every reason in the world to keep her far, far away. Regardless of what she has done lately, the whole trying to kill people thing never really leaves our head.
