‘How I Met Your Mother’ season 9 spoilers: Cobie Smulders teases 200th episode

Just in case you did not have enough of a reason already to be thrilled about the 200th episode of “How I Met Your Mother” airing next week, know that Cobie Smulders is beyond excited. If someone who has already filmed the episode is still interested in seeing what happens next, you know that this has to be a good thing.

This episode airs on Monday night, and the woman behind Robin Scherbatsky told IGN a laundry list of reasons why Cristin Milioti’s big episode is going to be interesting from the sole perspective of filling in some pretty big gaps in the mythology:

“I’m really excited for — I like to call it the Cristin Milioti episode — the 200th episode [airing next week], just because, first of all, I think Cristin is amazing, and we have not used her enough on the show. But at the same time, there are all of these things, all these questions that are answered within that episode. There are some really interesting tie-ins to previous seasons and previous moments where maybe in another episode, like, ‘Oh, she left her umbrella at the club.’ Like, we get to see a flip side of what happened to that umbrella and follow that.”

We know that this is going to cover an extensive period of time in The Mother’s life, and the struggle that may come with that is not feeling like there are things left out; but, we at least know that Rachel Bilson will be back as Cindy, and that and the umbrella are two of the points that we feel really need to be hit on the most.
