‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 4, episode 16 preview: What’s next for Spencer, Toby?

Spencer and Toby constantly seem to have at least a few things going on in their personal lives, and on Tuesday night’s “Pretty Little Liars” episode, the focus is going to be all about trying to figure out if Toby’s mother really did die the way in which it was originally described.

Almost all season long, the story for this character has been trying to find answers about if she was truly crazy or if she took her own life, and at times, there have been roadblocks at every turn. We cannot really say that he is all that much closer now to answers than he was previously, but at least this is a guy who is not giving up at trying to uncover the truth! We at least admire that he is sticking at it, despite whatever sort of enormous challenges (and there are plenty of them) in the way.

At least Toby is in a very different place at this point in the season in comparison to where he was last year at this time. If you remember, that incarnation of the character was busy in the middle of all sorts of terrible stuff, which included constant suspicion that he was actually a member of the “A Team,” when it was really all an elaborate ploy in order to collect information on the inside. (We don’t quite think it is the same with Ezra.)
