‘The X Factor’ UK: More rumors, talk on Nicole Scherzinger, Cheryl Cole, Dannii Minogue

We imagine that the press talking about the future of “The X Factor” UK is probably going to be some sort of recurring theme over the course of the next several weeks, but we are going to be here to continue to provide some more insight and truth when it comes to most of it … especially some of the occasional nonsense when it comes to the judging panel.

Per Telly Mix, one source claims this week that if Cheryl Cole is set to return to the panel in the summer (which has been rumored), Nicole Scherzinger will have to end up going. While you could read this as some sort of malicious comment, it probably has more to do with common sense. There may be some salary issues involved here, but more than that, there are only so many female spots on the panel.

One other report that corroborates this somewhat is one per the Daily Star, which says that Cole is waiting on making a decision until she knows more about Dannii Minogue’s status. If she is hoping for a return of the old judging panel, then Nicole of course wouldn’t be a part of it. The trouble there is that Nicole is loved by many, and it seems like if the show wants to really go old-school with their panel this year, they are going to have to make some sort of sacrifice. Personally, we feel like it is probably worth it, given that Nicole has not been an enormous ratings machine for the show over the past few years.
