‘New Year’s Rockin’ Eve’ 2014: Who did Jenny McCarthy kiss at midnight?

For whatever reason, Jenny McCarthy’s lips have become as much of a conversation topic on New Year’s Eve as almost anything. “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” is a time where she has some fun with the crowd, and the past couple of years, she has had some more fun with some audience members than others.

But this year, there was a little bit of questioning regarding whether or not this was something that McCarthy was going to do, mostly because she is in a relationship now with Donnie Wahlberg of “Blue Bloods” fame. It was possible that she could just kiss him, and most of the drama on the night would be over.

But, Jenny continued to hype up the kiss as though it was the most important people of all time. Finally at the conclusion of the annual performance of “Imagine,” Sonia Sotomayor (a Supreme Court judge) pressed the button, and 2014 was here! Then, Jenny kissed … Donnie Wahlberg. Yep, so that was the end of all of the drama there. It was the kiss that was the most predictable, but also the one that was best for Jenny at this moment in her life. Plus, we can’t imagine that he would have been that happy had she locked lips with anyone else. Interestingly enough, Ryan Seacrest said during the show that these two originally met years ago during the New Year’s Eve broadcast when New Kids on the Block performed.

As for who Ryan Seacrest kissed … that’s a good question. He was standing next to Miley Cyrus and Blondie, so there are two options there (and also some that were probably off-camera). He is dating again after splitting from Julianne Hough, but is keeping things largely under wraps.
