‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ review: Kenya Moore, queen of proper bus etiquette

The latest -Sunday night’s “Real Housewives of Atlanta” episode was one that, if you enjoy the drama aspect of the show, you are probably sure to enjoy this episode. After all, it had so much going for it. There was real-life drama, the sort of silly “we want airtime” drama that we get a good laugh at, and seemingly the end to a story that was running the risk of being overkill if it were to last any longer.

Of course, by this we mean the end to the story regarding Mama Joyce. After watching her all season long berate Kandi Burruss and insinuate that her new man is basically the worst person to ever live on planet Earth, she came down slightly off of her high horse after a long, heated discussion and said that she would not do that anymore. It’s about time.

Thanks to this, Kandi and Todd can now move forward, and she can focus on some other things … such as that bus trip to Savannah that sent NeNe Leakes on the brink of insanity. While we know some appreciated seeing something as genuine as Porscha Stewart’s struggle, we love a good fight over people running late to go on a road trip. What made this even funnier was that it was not NeNe who was the angriest about it; instead, it was Kenya Moore who suddenly started to act like she wrote the book on proper bus trip etiquette, and that everyone else committed some sort of terrible, unforgivable sin for show up almost two hours late. She seemed mostly to be getting mad because she was on time, and it was almost like waving a good grade in front of your classmates to prove you are smart. Kenya has been fairly quiet throughout most of this season, but this bus trip seemed to bring out all the drama with her.

All in all, silly fun; and on a night when you may have been stressed out by all the finales, maybe this was a brief breath of fresh air. Grade: B+.
