‘The X Factor’ finale results: Was Sam Bailey or Nicholas McDonald the season 10 winner?
Finally, the long journey on “The X Factor” UK is at an end. During the results show on Sunday, it was finally revealed as to who between Nicholas McDonald and Sam Bailey was the worthy champion of season 10, and worthy of getting everything from the record deal to touring with Beyonce.
What actually made this fairly interesting is that we really had no idea who was going to emerge victorious of the two. Neither had been in the bottom two prior to this moment, and while we would have personally picked Sam, Nicholas had the “cute guy” vote from teenagers, and he may have also had the grandma vote courtesy of being a sweet kid performing songs that they were familiar with. This was the fanbase that led to Christopher Maloney almost winning the show last year.
We’re very curious to find out just who was the favorite of the voters all season long, but in the end, this is the vote that matters most. (Otherwise, Christopher would have won last season in a landslide.) So when Dermot O’Leary trotted off on stage to read the envelope with the winners’ name on it, we were just ready to find out the results already. (After all, this show was a whopping two hours long.)
So who is your champ? Sam! We’re really happy for her for a number of reasons, with the primary one being that she is an inspirational story as a mother and a prison worker trying to make her dream come true, and she never tried to use that as a crutch or a tool of sympathy. She put in the work to make herself better every week, and get the entire country together. It’s also a huge victory for Sharon Osbourne, who if you recall lost her other two acts very early on during the season.
Do you think the right person won season 10, or would you have preferred the alternative result? Share your thoughts below! Also, click here to read the first part of the finale review.

If sam never won I would of liked Tamera, Abi or Nicholas to win
