‘Survivor 28’ cast spoilers: What we know about location, if there are returning players
During the “Survivor: Blood vs Water” reunion show tonight (at least if tradition holds), Jeff Probst is going to lift the veil on what will be the 28th season of the long-running franchise. This is one that was filmed earlier this year, and so while we’ve all been sitting around and discussing what has been a pretty excellent series of episodes, there has been something waiting for us on the other side that all of CBS has kept quiet about.
It’s never our goal to spoil anything significant about an upcoming season of the game, but what we can tell you about the currently-untitled season 28 is as follows.
1. The location will remain in the Philippines – The show doesn’t like to move around much in shooting two seasons back to back, so we’ll see some of the same locales that we did during “Blood vs. Water.” The good news: More water challenges! Then again, we’re hoping for somewhere new next fall so that we can get a better array of the environment.
2. The cast is rumored to be entirely newcomers – Reports have widely suggested this, and also telling is that there are no reports out there about there being returning players. Given that it’s been since “Survivor: One World” that we have had a season of entirely newbies, it feels like the right time.
3. It won’t be the last season – CBS has already renewed the show until season 30, and Jeff Probst will remain the showrunner during that time, as well.
4. Everything else is speculation for now – Seriously. Producers have done a good job of being tight-lipped. We’d assume that there will be another twist because there always is, but we would be happy to just have a pretty normal “Survivor” season at this point. We’d be surprised if Redemption Island is in play again, mostly because the reason that it has worked well this fall was because of the family twist. You lose that if there are complete strangers. (Update: Now, you can read more about it here.)

Not having the Hidden Idols, tell everyone at home but not the players. so we can see them running around going crazy trying to find them, but give them “clues” to the “Idols”

it would be good if they had players returning that had either run second in the season or where the first voted out of their season.
