‘Glee’ season 5 spoilers: Lea Michele teases big stories with Adam Lambert, Naya Rivera

Lea Michele is hitting the publicity trail this week in promotion of her new single “Cannonball,” and in the process, this is leading for quite a few chances to talk about what’s coming up the rest of the way on “Glee.” Some of it involves Adam Lambert and a deepening of their friendship there, and the other part involves something pretty surprising regarding Naya Rivera’s Santana that you will see pretty early on after the show’s return in February.

Speaking to MTV News, here is the tease specifically that the woman behind Rachel Berry gives about these two:

“I know that me and Adam have a really exciting story line coming up. [Lambert’s] Elliott and [my character] Rachel become really good friends. And there’s a big Santana and Rachel shocker coming out in February.”

Now if we were to sit here and really put on a speculation cap, then it would be very easy to say that some of the big stories that we are going to see from Elliott and Rachel could involve the sort of ramifications that come out of the two of them becoming very close friends. For example, would there start to be some sort of jealousy that forms on Kurt’s part? He’s always prided himself on being close with Rachel, and he may not take well to someone else coming in and dominating his time with her. Also, this could lead to some conflicts in the Pamela Lansbury band, given that Elliott and Kurt are bound to have some more disagreements based on what we’ve seen already.

As for Santana, it’s not too surprising for there to be any sort of shocker coming up for these two. They have already done a pretty good job of establishing that their relationship is volatile.
