‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: More on Joseph Morgan’s return from ‘The Originals’
“The Vampire Diaries” and “The Originals” seem to be getting something right when it comes to the way that the two shows are working together. The audience for one has gravitated naturally over to the other, and that has allowed for opportunities for the two to actually have their crossovers feel natural, and not in the least bit forced.
So when Joseph Morgan is set to bring back his character Klaus to the flagship show a little later this season, you know that there is going to be a pretty important reason behind it. This is a guy whose motivations are not always clear to others, but always to himself. Could Caroline be in danger? That has to at least be one of the more interesting possibilities out there, though what makes some comments from “Originals” executive producer Michael Narducci to TVLine all the more interesting is that it sounds like Klaus may not be the only motivated person to stop by:
“There are things happening on Vampire Diaries which are pretty huge. Word travels to New Orleans and Klaus – and perhaps even one other of our characters – will be curious about the events that are taking place in Mystic Falls.”
Personally, we would be most interested to find out that one of the other characters to stop by is actually someone who has never been to Mystic Falls before, like a Cami or a Marcel versus another appearance from Elijah or Hayley. Rebekah seems like a predictable choice to return, but only from the vantage point that she and Matt have so much history, and he is probably one of the only men ever in her life to not be completely awful to her.
No matter what, this should be something fun to look out for a little bit later in the season.

Maybe the fact that Katherine is dyeing, Klaus wants to see for himself, maybe his blood can cure her and bring her back and turn her back to a Vampire? Or since Bonnie can see and be on both living and death sides, she can talk to the sister who is the witch who passed on when Marcel slit her throat for usuing magic and she has a way to come back. I can’t remember their names right now. Maybe Cami know Stefan and Damen too from the past and they explain how she knows or knew them and they give her the memories and find out her past life name.
