‘Glee’ season 5 song spoilers: Hear Adam Lambert, Chris Colfer sing Madonna’s ‘Into the Groove’
For those of you wondering whether or not “Glee’s” new band Pamela Lansbury was going to stay true to their original “Madonna tribute band” roots, we’ve got an answer for you: That is precisely what they are going to be doing Thursday night!
In the video below, you can hear Demi Lovato, Adam Lambert, and Chris Colfer have a few moments during the song “Into the Groove” by the pop icon. It’s still interesting to us that the show went for such a straightforward arrangement of the song here, mostly because you have two singers on your show in Adam and Demi who have such killer ranges and can do way more than this arrangement allows them to. It’s still a good performance of the song, and we’re somewhat excited about the photo above of the band performing a song live in front of an audience.
What we know already about this Thanksgiving night episode “Puppet Master” is that when they originally show up to perform their first gig, Pamela Lansbury are going to be forced into seeing the reality of what happens to most young bands: They only get to perform for a few people. It reminds us a lot of a time we were at Six Flags and we saw a band performing for about five people inside of a tent. How awkward a feeling must that be? You’re paid to give a big performance, but you have to try and find a way to get your spirits up when you realize that there are not that many people out there who want to hear your play right away. Luckily, the group managed to either get some more people to show up, or we’re actually looking at their second performance here.
What do you think about this “Into the Groove” cover, and are you somewhat surprised that the show found a Madonna song to do that hasn’t been done already? Share your thoughts below, and click here for some details on a surprising new sort of dance that we are going to be seeing Adam and Chris doing (presumably) in the future.

I love watching Adam Lambert perform so I’m looking forward to thanksgiving episode, but now I’m REALLY looking forward to this episode. I just watched “Your my Best Friend” w/Darren Criss & the puppets, absolutely LOVED IT. Can’t wait. & I don’t even like puppets, ever, at all. Anyone who can make me enjoy puppets? Wow, they r incredibly talented to pull that off!

Song could have been perked and made more exciting but it’s a band effort so I guess they don’t want Adam and/or Demi to overshadow the others.

Thought the song was great! We all know Adam likes to make a song his own when singing but since this was a group effort I think they stuck with the straight forward version! I think they did a great job,but do agree with you on Adam, and Demi’s vocals!
