ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 9 preview: Tamala Jones’ Lanie in the spotlight for ‘Disciple’
We’ve heard the appeals from ‘Castle” fans for quite some time to create an episode of the show that is geared a little bit more to Lanie Parish, mostly because she is a big part of the world. Despite being around for years, we still know very little about her. Not only that, but there are understandably those with countless questions as to whether or not she and Esposito are ever going to get together in the near future.
While next week’s all-new episode “Disciple” is probably not going to answer everything for you, it could provide a little bit of insight into some of what you have been missing out on as of late. The synopsis below hardly makes it clear as to just how big of a role Lanie is going to play, but she will at least be tied to the victim in an extremely unusual (and also creepy) way:
“Castle and Beckett arrive at a crime scene to discover that the female victim bears a shocking resemblance to Medical Examiner Lanie Parish. As the team tries to make sense of this mystery, they realize the killer may be targeting detectives of the 12th Precinct. Annie Wersching (’24’) guest stars as Dr. Kelly Nieman, an exclusive Manhattan cosmetic surgeon who draws Castle and Beckett’s interest because of her connection to the victim.”
Unfortunately, the full promo below hardly gives you too much more in the way of answers, save for at least doing its part to emphasize that yes, Tamala Jones is going to have a big part in the story. This is at least going to be a nice little reminder to some that she is a part in this show, and has a role to play beyond just a medical examiner, a possible love interest, or a friend for Beckett to speak with when she is in need of advice from another woman.
