ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 spoilers: More of Sally Langston; Olivia / Fitz scoop

Given the events that transpired at the end of “Scandal” season 2, there is really one thing that you could also expect to see: More of Vice-President Sally Langston. While the character disappeared for long stretches, she will be back in a little bit more of a regular capacity in season 3 … even if she is not a series regular, per se.

According to TVLine, Kate Burton is going to recur throughout the upcoming season, which of course should yield some great stories when it comes to the issue of the mole.

As for another hot topic, we don’t want to spare you some of the juicy scoop regarding where Olivia and Fitz could end up here on the season. Executive producer Shonda Rhimes said the following on this confidential relationship, and how a certain First Lady may be working hard at the moment to put the brakes on the relationship:

“I can’t talk about their path, but Fitz and Liv have an inexplicable attraction to one another, and people may be surprised to discover what certain motives are in [creating] the situations they’ve been in. [Their romance] is not finished …When we come into the season, [however,] Mellie does have things managed on the marital front.”

Will this in some way equate to seeing more of the same from the couple? Probably, but it will hopefully come in some sort of different form, and with different people getting involved.
