ABC’s ‘Scandal’ season 3 spoilers: Olivia and Fitz raise questions in first promo

The first promo for “Scandal” season 3 containing actual footage from the show has arrived, and after watching it, there is really one one reaction that we have: We’re in for one heck of a season.

One of the biggest questions going into the fall is who was the person responsible for leaking the Olivia – Fitz affair to the press, and the sad news here is that based on the promo, there really is no more evidence about who it is. Olivia is clearly in a panic over it during her face-to-face conversation with the President, and we’re actually surprised that these two were able to be in the same room together, given how many people are probably watching their every move from here on out.

As for who we do not think is responsible for it, we’re going to put Mellie at the top of the list. She is just much too obvious of a choice for one, and the last thing that she wanted was to have the secret out there before she had her ducks in a row. She liked holding the power of Fitz that it could happen, and now she has to put herself in front of the media, and in the event that she decides to stay with her husband, she runs the risk of facing backlash for that. It’s not going to be an easy situation for her (and many other characters close to her) to be in.
