‘The X Factor’ USA: Hear Fifth Harmony’s two-song ‘Today Show’ set

While many TV fans were off either celebrating the Emmys or preparing for the craziness at Comic-Con, Harmonizers had something else to look forward to on “The Today Show” this morning. For the first time since coming in third place on the American version of “The X Factor” this past season, the girl-group sensation took to the stage of a national morning talk show to perform a pair of original songs.

First of all, hats off to Epic Records for making this performance happen, as Fifth Harmony has already managed something that no one else from this show has: The chance to perform multiple songs live without having to share the stage with anyone else. (Emblem3 shared the stage recently with Little Mix on “Good Morning America,” an impressive feat of its own.)

The two songs that Fifth Harmony performed on the show are ones that you surely know already if you are a diehard fan: Their lead single “Miss Movin’ On,” which is currently climbing up the pop radio chart, and also their other teen anthem “Me and My Girls.” The ladies also proved in these performances that they’ve done quite a bit of work when it comes to giving a full performance, going above and beyond just great vocals. There’s choreography, utilizing the full stage, and also of course plenty of smiles and emotion.

Our favorite part of this whole video, though, may actually be the brief cut of a guy in a beard singing along to “Miss Movin’ On” like he has clearly heard the words a hundred times. Maybe he’s there with his daughter. Or maybe he just really likes teen pop music.
