‘Dexter’ season 8 poster: A cool design, or possible foreshadowing?
“Dexter” fans, prepare to start shaking in your boots a little bit. Showtime has just unveiled their first poster for the upcoming eighth and final season of the show, and it certainly could give you a reason to worry a little bit as to the future of a certain Miami killer.
In the new image, Michael C. Hall’s title character is under some of his famous saran wrap, almost as though he is ready to have his body taken off somewhere. Of course, there is something still odd about this in that Dexter never covers the heads of his victims, mostly because he loves to talk with them just before he ultimately drives his famous knife into their chests. Then again, if we’re really reading much more into this poster than what we are seeing, it is probably fair to assume that if someone is ready to do away with Dexter once and for all, they are probably not going to operate in the same exact way as him. Every killer has their own tactics, right?
As the poster clearly shows, “Dexter” returns on Sunday, June 30, and the story this time around is going to delve much deeper into the character’s past than we have ever seen before. Some of the new cast members include Charlotte Rampling and Sean Patrick Flanery, and Yvonne Strahovski is also returning in her role as Hannah McKay from last season.
