Chicago Fire season 6 video: Taylor Kinney, Monica Raymund on what’s ahead

Chicago Fire season 6 video

Want another Chicago Fire season 6 video prior to the show’s premiere on NBC? Luckily, we do think that the fine folks at the network are here for you!

In the video below, you can see Monica Raymund (Dawson), Eamonn Walker (Boden), and Taylor Kinney (Severide) all do their part in order to detail some of what’s coming on the season ahead — one that is hopefully going to prove itself to be one of the best ones that we’ve seen to date for the show.

What can you expect? Well, let’s just say first and foremost that NBC is clearly not interested in giving all that much away. They don’t show a whole lot of footage in here beyond the fire that ignited the factory at the end of the season 5 finale, and there are many lives still hanging in the balance. That’s the big reason why you’re not seeing any guarantee that some of these characters made it through to the other side just yet. We want to be optimistic that they do, but there are no guarantees.

Beyond just the story, the cast does also touch on the NBC series in a little more of a meta sense. There are, after all, a couple of interesting things to discuss here! Walker goes into more of what Chicago Fire the series means to the cast and crew, and you do really get a sense of some of the genuine love and care that goes into making the show. Beyond that, you also here Raymund discuss the excitement that she has being a part of a lineup on Thursday nights that includes the long-awaited return of Will & Grace. While we personally preferred to see Chicago Fire air alongside This Is Us, we’re not altogether upset about this idea given that it at least had a decent lead-in still. Also, we do think that this Thursday timeslot is fairly ripe for the taking with there not being too much substantial competition, at least not yet, airing on some of the other major broadcast networks.

Regardless of who lives and who dies within the Chicago Fire season 6 premiere, one thing very much still does remain the same: We’re getting set up to have an interesting, exciting season of the show. There will be of course more fires, but also new characters and stories that reflect on the firehouse family and what it means to be in this job at a time in which there is so much uncertainty in the world.
