Wynonna Earp season 2 finale: Who is Alice Michelle?
Oh, and this was also an episode that featured one of the crazy moments in recent memory with the show: Doc and Wynonna having such perfect gun-slinging ability that they were able to split a bullet in the middle of the air. So much for the Widows, right? Wynonna for a minute looked like she was actually willing herself for the sake of the greater good — maybe she was, but that’s not something that she necessarily had to do.
After that crazy showdown (even though Bobo was still out there at this point — he was the focus of a different character), there was some other pressing business: Wynonna’s baby. There was only so long that this could be put off. Everything seemed temporarily right with the world, but then came the next twist: Rosita was playing everyone. She knockout Waverly and was willing to do everything that he could in order to ensure that she could get Wynonna’s baby. The betrayal wasn’t that surprising, but it was still pretty awful given that this is someone who had grown close to Waverly over time. Ironically, it was Waverly, taking on the gun and feeling much more like a true Earp than ever before, who scared Rosita away … for now. she’s not dead.
Eventually, we then saw the baby born, and arguably the most heartbreaking moment of the show to date as we saw Waverly take Wynonna’s child and take her away. It may have been a move that they considered to be for the best, but that doesn’t make it any less painful. Waverly took the child and, with Nicole’s encouragement, both she and the child crossed the line! The baby was Doc’s, and it didn’t matter who Waverly’s biological parents were. She was, to quote Nicole, “extraordinary,” and that was enough to make many people out there smile. Unfortunately, that didn’t change what needed to be done: The child needed a chance at a life away from the chaos.
As for Doc and Bobo…
With a little bit of help, we saw that Doc was able to vanquish his foes, and in some ways, his demons. He left Jeremy behind and got the briefest opportunity to say goodbye to his child.
The aftermath of everything
After saying farewell to his kid, Doc had a chance to taunt Bobo in what was his new home: The bottom of a pit. Wynonna and Doc reconvened in the closing minutes beyond that, and we learned that the child was named Alice Michelle after their two mothers. The two characters okay — technically, all of our characters are okay physically. Wynonna was struggling with everything that transpired with her child, but she hopped on her motorcycle and rode on. That’s the thing about life: You just gotta keep moving.
In the closing seconds of the episode, another shocker surfaced: Wynonna’s mom! That’s who she went to visit, and we’re very curious about this already…
